Salesman's Case |
| These circuit
modifiers regulate the voltage from currently available 1.55 Volt
Silver Oxide cells to within factory specifications of, now illegal,
Mercuric Oxide cells.
Those who know me know that I am a purist, so I refuse to alter a
watch away from the way it left the factory. My goal is always to
try to restore them, both inside and out, to be as close as possible to
how they were when brand new. To that end, I
developed these, less invasive regulators rather than
altering
the original electronics by soldering a new component into place. |
| This replacement
battery hatch for 214 series Accutrons contains a voltage regulator in
it. All of the
metal parts are made of stainless steel. NO LONGER PRODUCED. |
| This picture shows
a voltage regulator installed in a 218 series Accutron movement.
It
is held between the coil leads by a screw. I include this
regulator
with every overhaul I perform on 218 series movements. Obviously,
this is not an item that should be installed by anyone other than a
watchmaker. If you service Accutrons and are interested in buying
these, please e-mail me for pricing. |
