new arrivals
December 9, 2006 I see that I haven't updated Announcements in a little while (understatement) so I guess I should. I have stopped accepting repair work and any watches not sold by December 31st will be absorbed into my own collection. My site and email address will then remain in effect until the warranty on the last watch I sell expires. I wish I still had the time to devote to Accutrons but it has become increasingly difficult to find any time to work on Accutrons if I am to have any time left to even speak to my wife. I still have some watches backlogged and they will be completed and returned with the greatest speed I can muster. Thank you one and all. Chris
November 19, 2004 I listed a couple more watches today that I wasn't able to last month. One is a classic Bowtie 214 and the other a rare solid 14 karat gold 214.
November 19, 2004 Okay, I know. I didn't get the descriptions and grading done yesterday, but they are up and live right now.
November 18, 2004 Today I listed ELEVEN Accutrons on the Sales page. I will be writing their full descriptions later today but the links to all the pictures are live so it's time for a little Christmas shopping.
August 17, 2004 I have listed a couple of nice 214s last week and today. Last week was a very nice piece with the original bracelet and today a beautiful 214 Pulsation.
July 17, 2004 Just a short not to say I listed a rare Space View style on the Sales page. It may not be to everyone's taste but will fill an important space in someone's collection.
| July
12, 2004 I am pleased to announce that I am manufacturing reproduction Space View Crystals. Some of the styles have been reproduced by others but some are available here for the first time. Specifically, numbers 770AWS, 770AYS, and 1270AWS. These crystals have become increasingly difficult to locate and more expensive. Additionally, dot pattern crystals are not available in just any size you may need so I am able to print any of the patterns I have on any size and shape crystal you may need. This includes glass blanks to fit Anniversary Space Views. |
July 12, 2004 Okay, a little late but the SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT will be revealed this afternoon.
June 30, 2004 Today I listed two wonderful Stainless Steel Space Views. If you have been looking for a prime example for your collection, get over to the Sales page right now and take your pick. I'm still working on that SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT so stay tuned. (Hint: it may happen this weekend)
June 11, 2004 Today I listed a very nice 218 Deep Sea. Photographing watches with black dials can be maddening. Every speck of dust and lint, and reflections from everywhere show up. Keep checking here for a very special announcement in the next few weeks.
April 26, 2004 Today I listed a great 214 Astronaut with the original bracelet, box, and papers. Its picture page has nearly one megabyte of photos so it may take some time to load. Also, a rare and desireable Accutron 2186 Direct Read. It is a very large watch with no wear through of the gold plating. They are both on the Sales page.
April 5, 2004 Today I listed a fantastic NEW OLD STOCK Accutron 214. It is on consignment but is featured at the top of my Sales page. Its picture page has over one megabyte of photos so it may take some time to load.
April 2, 2004 Today I listed three great Accutron to my Sales page. Another over/under day/date, a solid 14kt gold day date, and a beautiful 10kt gold filled 214 with the original bracelet.
March 22, 2004 I just added two more Accutrons to the Sales page, a stainless steel 214 with a black dial and a 14 karat gold 218.
March 19, 2004 I just added two more Railroad Approved Accutrons to the Sales page, a stainless steel 214 and a gold filled 218.
March 13, 2004 I just added a superb 218 Railroad Approved Accutron to the Sales page and reduced the prices of a few other watches.
January 28, 2004 I just added four great pieces to the Sales page. A rare Astronaut Mark II, a great Deep Sea, and two over/under day/dates. I still have more but I just can't seem to find the time to photograph them all.
December 12, 2003 I had some equipment problems recently. My Accutron timer went deaf. It shut down repairs for about two weeks. I just added four watches to the Consignment page, check them out.
September 26, 2003 I have some more Accutrons in but not pictured yet. One is a round, silver dial Over/Under Day/Date and the other is a stainless 218 Railroad Approved model. Pictures coming soon.
July 24, 2003 I fixed some formatting issues today on the Sales page and this Announcement page and I eliminated a bunch of the old announcements in the process. Let me know if anyone wants to see them all up here again. Thanks, Chris, for letting me know about the problems.
July 9, 2003 I just added five new watches to the sales page and they are great pieces if you don't mind me saying so. Two rare Space View models, an ever-popular Over/Under Day/Date, a complete 214 package including inner and outer boxes and an Astronaut Mark II with a black dial. Check them out. The move into the new house went smoothly although there are still lots of unopened boxes around. I also think I misplaced another new inventory piece which I'll list if and when I find it. Still no word on the job front but I've been kept busy with these little humming beauties.
| April 9,
2003 Well, it has been another long while since my last update. I learned today that I will be laid off starting April 11 from the engineering job that I mentioned in my last update below. This means that I will be accepting a lot of new repairs as I will have quite a bit of time on my hands. We are in the process of moving into a new house so I won’t have my shop set back up until June 1st but will be ready to go then. |
