| These are the main parts that need to be identified
for the installation of the voltage regulator. Clockwise from top, left:
Coil Lead-Strap Screw, insulation (supplied with regulator), and the voltage
regulator. |
| When installing the coils and tuning fork, be sure the cell coil
lead-strap is under the component coil lead-strap. |
| Using one pair of tweezers, lift the component coil lead-strap
so the insulator can be inserted in the fork of the cell
coil lead-strap. Be gentle so as not to over stress the lead-straps. |
| Lifting the component coil lead-strap again, place the regulator
between the lead-straps and over the insulator. |
| Using the tweezers to hold the screw in position at the insulator, screw it into place and... |
| ...move the regulator to with 0.5mm of the cup
of the tuning fork before tightening fully. Be careful not
to tighten any more than needed to be secure and make good electrical contact.
Test by verifying that continuity exists between the lead-straps in
one direction only. |
